The inside diameter of the heat shrink tube should always be chosen so that the diameter is only slightly smaller after free shrinking than that of the part to be shrunk around (approx. 10 - 15%).
When cutting the heat shrink tube to length, ensure smooth cut edges.
Shrink the heat shrink tube from the center outward with a heating device.
Observe optimum shrinking temperature (see table). It is important for a short shrinking time. WURTH heat shrink tubing shrink so quickly that the part to be shrunk around only heats up very slightly.
With heat shrink tubes with internal adhesive, the melting inner layer can escape slightly at the ends.
